How to Reach Your Weight Loss Goals Before The Year Ends.

How To Reach Your Weight Loss Goals Before The Year Ends.

How many times have you tried to lose weight and failed? Me? I'm not sure I can even count that high, not to mention it's rather embarrassing how many times I've joined programs and quit or never even went back. You know how you go on an all nighter, not  partying & drinking but eating like a starving person, and then you feel like HELL the next day so you swear on Monday you're for sure are going to start your diet and lose this damn weight once and for all! Then Monday comes and you feel better, so you say "screw it! I'll start tomorrow" or you stay dedicated and you actually join a program or a gym, you go once get all the info, weigh-in, then you have to have a "last supper", Hello! because you're never going to eat like this again ever, right? Then you never go back again, but you keep paying the weekly or monthly fees because one day you're going to do it. One day you're going to get your S*** together and lose this weight! How about making RIGHT NOW your  "One" day?

I already know what you're thinking "Well the holidays are coming up and I know I'm going to want to eat all that GOOD food", but tell me what has all that GOOD food done for your over the years? Do you feel GOOD? Do you look GOOD(I'm sure you are beautiful but do you look the way you want too)? Can you move and be active GOOD? And are you setting yourself up to have a GOOD LIFE in the future when you're 70,80,90 years old? The longer you carry that extra weight around with you the more damage that is being done to your body. For every 1 pound of extra weight you carry around that is equal to 4 pounds of extra pressure on your knees & that is just one area of your body that is affected.

For every pound that you lose you are reducing your risk for heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancers. So, losing weight isn't just about looking good, it's about living a long healthy life too. The point is we have 3 months left in this year and if you started on Monday and lost just 2 pounds a week by the first of the year you could ring in the New Year with an almost 30 pound weight loss! HELLO, how freakin' awesome would that be,instead of crying because we gained weight during the holidays we actually lost weight this year?!

I'm ringing in the NEW YEAR AT MY GOAL WEIGHT, HOW ABOUT YOU? I have an ongoing support group  and my coaching is FREE you’re welcome to join, BUT this group is a little different than my others. I usually take everyone, because I truly do want to help as many people as possible and I will continue to have a group for everyone to join. HOWEVER, this group is EXCLUSIVE!  I’m only taking people who are SERIOUS about their HEALTH & LOSING WEIGHT, are willing to make the COMMITMENT  to change that they need to make, & are willing to push themselves and their team members to their max potential in an effort to reach OUR GOALS by 1/1/16. If you want to join or want more info go to the "Support Group" button, click it, fill out the form and I'll get back with you ASAP! Invite a friend to join with you, so they can get healthy too this year. Hurry we only have 3 months left to reach our goals!

TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE SMALL CHANGES TO GET THE WEIGHT LOSE RESULTS THAT YOU WANT!

MAKE SMALL SACRIFICES DAILY TO GET SUCCESS!

If you want weight loss success or anything in life there has to be sacrifices made to reach your goals. You all see my post and pics with my results, but you haven't seen the behind the scenes sacrifices I've made to get those pounds off. Like right now it is 06:00 am I've already done a 30 minute workout and I have my Shakeology made, and chicken in the crock pot for making up my meals for the week. I knew last night that today was going to be busy, so I went to bed a little earlier so I could get up at 0500 and workout. Would I have liked to watch tv last night and sleep in an hour more-Hell ya but this is what I have to do to get and keep the weight off. So, the excuse of not having enough time to workout is it really valid?? Watch 1 less 30 minute show a day!

Next I thought I couldn't afford Shakeology either-Hello $130 per month, but I added it to my family's food budget, because it does replace a meal a day and with that breakdown it is $4.00 per meal. I cancelled HBO and Showtime, plus took the DVR off of 1 tv , which reduced my cable bill by $40 per month. I stopped going through the drive thru or I should say I limited my trips to only once a week. At $5.00+ a pop those trips really add up (I challenge you to keep your fast food receipts for 1 wk and just see how much $$ you waste). I became a Beachbody Coach for the 25% discount you get on purchases and my Shakeology was reduced to $95+tax per month.

What were the sacrifices again:
**gave up movie channels & DVR function on tvs
**gave up an extra hour of sleep
**gave up eating out daily
**gave up feeling like crap and being tired all the time
**gave up being humiliated because I didn't fit in the seat or I had to ask for special accommodations related to my size.

WAS IT WORTH THE SACRIFICES?

**I can ride the rides with my kids at Kings Island.
**I can run a 5K or take the steps without getting SOA and feeling like I'm going to die.
**I can take a trip on a plane and not be afraid that they or going to ask me to buy another ticket, bc I'm to fat for 1 seat or that I'm humiliated bc I have to ask for a seatbelt extension when the belt won't buckle over my stomach.
**I've decreased my chances of getting diabetes, heart disease, stroke.
**I've increased my chances at a long, active, independent life that I can spend with my kids, grandkids, great grandkids.

IS IT WORTH THE SACRIFICES-HELL YA!
You have to decide what you want more and decide are YOU WORTH the sacrifices? LOSE WEIGHT AND KEEP THE FAITH

IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS THAT THE LORD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS LET THIS STORY ENCOURAGE YOU THAT IT IS TRUE. This beautiful young lady asked to join one of my 21 Day Fix Challenge groups several months back she already had the program and didn't need to purchase it from me, which was just fine. From that day forward she has been an active participant in all of my challenge groups and she has been killing it, as you can see from the pictures.

I am so inspired by this girl and impressed by her relentless spirit of faith. So, what does this have to do with the Lord and all? For over a year now I've been praying about doing missionary work with Joyce Meyer Ministry and one of the main places her missions goes to is Africa, specifically Kenya. And what does that have to do with anything? Ms. Obianuju is in Kenya and very active with her church and faith there. Hummm....

I've questioned often if this coaching thing is something that I should be doing, but I truly feel that it is a calling that God has laid on my heart. Each time that I have doubts God will reveal another reason as to why I should continue down this path. Thank you Obianuju for being the reason I stay the course that God has put me on you truly are an inspiration.

If you would like to join my next challenge/support group fill out the form below and I will be back with you within the next 24 hours.

Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone and Loss Weight Today

                           TRY THIS ON FOR CIZE

For you to full understand how unbelievable this really is you need to know how shy and reclusive I've always been. I was painfully shy as a child and didn't participate in a lot of fun activities because I was afraid and "shy". When I got older I used my obesity to keep me shielded, to protect me and I used it as an excuse not to do things.
So, we'll fast forward to the present day where I've wanted to be a fitness instructor for years. Actually, it started when I lost over 75 lbs with Turbofire, after that I wanted to be a Turbofire instructor. But no matter how much weight I lost I never felt thin enough, so the excuses would start. I have excess skin so it flops around when I get it removed then I'll be an instructor, when I lose just 10 more pounds, when I get in better shape, etc...
At our yearly Coach Summit in Nashville, TN my mentor Chalene Johnson challenged us to step out of our comfort zone and to stop making excuses. Well I stepped up to the challenge and I signed up to get certified to become a CIZE instructor. What is CIZE? CIZE is the new dance inspired fitness program by Shaun T the maker of Insanity, HipHopAbs, Max30, etc... Believe me it took everything I had not to back out of going to this class, but I had paid my money and made my mind up. And today I am offically a CIZE Certified Instructor!!

TO JOIN MY NEXT WEIGHT LOSS SUPPORT GROUP STARTING 8/24

Slow Cooker Chicken Enchilada Quinoa from www.bobbiskozykitchen.com                            Slow Cooker

 Chicken Enchilada & Quinoa

  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked quinoa, rinsed
  • 1 can (15-ounce) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 can (15-ounce) diced fire roasted tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped (depending o the heat level you want)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (10-ounces) enchilada sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mexican chili powder

  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Habanero cheese
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground chicken (okay you know me and I feel the same way about ground chicken as I do about ground turkey, so as usual I used Laura's Lean ground beef instead of chicken)  until no pink remains. Place in the slow cooker.
  2. Add in the uncooked quinoa, the black beans, frozen corn, diced tomatoes, garlic, onion, and jalapeno, water, enchilada sauce, chili powder, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 hours or until the liquid is all absorbed into the mixture.

EASY WEIGHT LOSS

EASY WEIGHT LOSS?

Alright, Alright I’m going to start off by saying I wasn’t going to say anything and actually I haven’t said anything for several days, but I have a little too much Grandma Cravens in me to let things go without putting my 2 cents worth in. I post a lot of pictures of myself and I’m sure some of you think I’m vain as hell, but it’s part of my job, coaching, and it helps keep me accountable with my weight loss. Your comments and post mean the world to me and really help me to be successful. I generally am a positive person and don’t let negative comments drag me down, but the other day a lady posted under the picture below the comment, “yeah that’s easy for you to say”. That has irritated me for days now and the lady is a friend of my sister’s, so I called my sister all pissed off and let her clarify the comment and she reassured me that I misunderstood the intent and that probably is true.

The point is the lady is right it is easy for me to say that you are going to do it. I’m not telling you the journey is going to be easy, because it’s not and you already know that, right? How many diets have you been on? I’m telling you that the decision to get health and to lose the weight is easy, BUT that is just the 1st step.  NOW, NOW take step 2 make a plan and implement it TODAY!

  1. What changes are you going to make to the way you eat. Write them down- are you going to count calories, do the 21 Day Fix, Paleo, give up sugar, give up fast food, eat clean, find out what the hell eat clean means? Pick something and implement it!
  2. What are you going to do for fitness 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. And you are aiming for 5 days a week, so you will get at least 3 days a week in, because we all know there will be days we say f*** it, right? So, schedule 30 minutes 5 days a week for a workout. You can give up 1 tv show a night, the Vampire Diaries is getting old anyway now that Elena is dead. And this time is written in stone just like a doctor’s appt or a meeting at work, because it is just as important, if not more important, this is your life people!
  3. Join an accountability group so you can get the support you need to get through this, because it doesn’t happen overnight it takes days and days of consistent behavior to get results and you need that support for the long haul. I have groups all the time, but if you don’t like me or find me annoying there are plenty of other coaches out there who are willing to help you.

What ever you do, don’t just do nothing and sit there and let your life pass you by because it was easier to just do nothing at all. I thrive when I’m pissed off and I hope that you do too! You are blessed my friend open your eyes and take hold of that power and run with it. If you need help or want to talk send me a message to wantmoreinfo2day@gmail.com and I'll get back with you soon. www.facebook.com/LorimuddWTF3

DID YOU FORGET?

I just want to remind you that you are FREAKIN' AWESOME!!
And to tell you to STOP settling for good enough, if it's not truly GOOD ENOUGH. Are you happy with your life? With the career you've chosen or the line of work you are doing? The partner you have chosen to be with for life(hum, hum)? The place that you live in? Your income? Don't fool yourself into believing that you have no control over these things, because you do!
Just because you got with a man/ woman or got into a job 20 yrs ago and it was right at that time for you and your family doesn't mean that you are stuck with that decision for the rest of your life. We all have choices in our lives to make and we can choose to settle for a mediocre life where we are happy sometimes, but most of the time we are working our asses off to make ends meet, fighting with the people we love because we are so stressed over bills, work, LIFE! Or we can take a step of faith and choose a life of abundance. A life where we are happy the majority of the time and healthy, because we have reduced the worry and stress in our lives by making better choices. STRESS is the #1 factor that leads to overeating, which leads to obesity. I'm sure none of you are surprised by this fact.
But I've been with this company for 26 years I have to much invested to leave now! I spent a lot of time and money to get my degree I can't just throw it all away now it would be wasted! Let me ask you this do you know the average life expectancy of a human? So about how much more time no this earth do you have??? God willing and blah, blah, blah... Yeah, do you really have time to WASTE being unhappy, unfulfilled, trapped in a body that is weighing you down or burdened with financial issues that keep you from living the life of abundance that God has planned for you? Isn't it time that you INVEST in YOU?
I'm telling you this as your friend and as someone who has been there. I wasted over 20 yrs of my life trapped in a body that kept me from being who I was destined to be and I don't want you to wake up one morning with regret knowing what you could have had, if only you had taken the chance and believed in yourself and your destiny. I remember crying because I so desperately wanted to go on the Optifast diet, it was the miracle diet at the time, and I didn't have the money. We were on Welfare with 2 kids and a new born baby and I was in nursing school. My husband was working but he had been let go of his job of 11 yrs when a new owner took over, so at his new job his pay was a lot less and ends were not meeting. I know now that those hard times had a purpose and that was to prepare me for my true calling.
It is my goal to give back to as many people as possible by helping them find their path to their life of abundance. Whether it be through weight loss or the coaching opportunity I know that this is what God has laid before me and I'm ready for the challenge the question is are you ready for your life of abundance?
Want to talk about it send me a message wantmoreinfo2day@gmail.com  or Look me up on FB at www.facebook.com/LorimuddWTF3 Lori'slosingit.  To join as a coach go to coachdannon.com.

DAILY SACRIFICES MADE TO REACH SUCCESS. AREN'T YOU WORTH THE SACRIFICE?

GOOD MORNING CHALLENGERS!!  Busy day so this post is going to have 2 purposes:

#1 Match Your Outfit to Your Shakeology=Yellow tank+ Vanilla Shakeology PB mix (1 pkt/scoop Vanilla Shakeology, 6-8 oz of vanilla unsweetened almond milk, splash of vanilla extract, ice. TIP:the more ice, frozen fruit the thicker the shake, the more milk, fluid the more volume.) I've told you all before I hated vanilla Shakeology and this is the recipe that changed my mind!

Make small sacrifices daily to get success!
#2 If you want weight loss success or anything in life there has to be sacrifices made to reach your goals. You all see my post and pics with my results, but you haven't seen the behind the scenes sacrifices I've made to get those pounds off. **I can take a trip on a plane and not be afraid that they or going to ask me to buy another ticket, bc I'm to fat for 1 seat or that I'm humiliated bc I have to ask for a seatbelt extension when the belt won't buckle over my stomach.

**I've increased my chances at a long, active, independent life that I can spend with my kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
IS IT WORTH THE SACRIFICES-HELL YA!
You have to decide what you want more and decide are YOU WORTH the sacrifices? Have a blessed day.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY DOWN 100+ LBS

SHOUT OUT TO SHEILA MY BFF She has lost over 100+ lbs & signed up to be a coach just to get the discount on her monthly Shakeology. Hum, beautiful and smart!

The 1st picture is Ms. Sheila and me in New Orleans with our friends Diane and Carol. We had gone on a girls trip for 4 days and I remember being so excited to be going with this great group of women and so terrified that the airport would ask me to buy a 2nd ticket because I was to fat for just 1 seat. To add to it we changed planes several times up and back. Then squeezing into the taxis and the driver telling me, "you get up front you to big, to big for back"!

It was horrible at the time, but looking back it saved my life, because it was just what I needed to take that leap towards losing the weight and getting healthy. Sheila lost her weight not to much longer after I lost mine. Then other people started asking about what I was doing to lose weight and could I give them tips-BAM I'm a coach! I'm no one special. I'm not a fitness expert, nutritionist, business person, nope just someone who lost weight with Beachbody products and loves to help others find their way to a healthier life too. Have you ever thought about being a coach?

If you'd like info on being a Beachbody coach fill out the application at the top of this blog under "I want to be a coach". No, you won't be signed up as a coach right then and there, so don't worry it will just get us started talking.

160 CALORIE DINNER CHEESY EGGPLANT PARMESAN 21 DAY FIX READY

                              160 CALORIE DINNER

                    CHEESY EGGPLANT PARMESAN

I don't know about you, but I love me some Eggplant Parmesan! Don't let the name fool you or don't fool yourself into thinking that it's good for you, because it has the word "eggplant" in the title. Most recipes have taken what good there was in the eggplant and destroyed it by coating it in breading, then deep drying it, and smothering it in mounds of ricotta cheese and high fat mozzarella. But I found this delicious recipe that is low in calories and works great with the 21 Day Fix diet! Win! Win! Here goes:

INGREDIENTS:
  • Olive oil mister or nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 large eggplant, peeled and sliced crosswise into 3/4-in. thick rounds (total about  3 green)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 large egg white (total 2 reds)
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese (total 4 blues)
  • 2 cups jarred low-sodium and low-fat or fat-free marinara sauce (total 2 purples)
  • Flat-leaf parsley, for garnish
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  1. Heat a large skillet over med-high heat; lightly coat with cooking spray and add some eggplant slices (as many as will fit a single layer). Season with pepper and cook until lightly browned, about 6 minutes. Turn eggplant over and season with more pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook until eggplant is soft and cooked through, about 6 minutes longer. Repeat with the remaining slices and pepper, adding more cooking spray to the skillet as needed.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the cottage cheese until it is semi-smooth. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in the egg white and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  3. Lightly coat a 11 x 7-in. baking dish with cooking spray, add half the eggplant slices. Top with cottage cheese and remaining eggplant slices, followed by marinara sauce. Sprinkle with mozzarella and then the remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake until hot and bubbling, about 30-40 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley.

DRY BRUSHING-WHAT THE???

DRY BRUSHING-WHAT THE ???

I admit most of the time I am behind the times, so maybe most of you out there have already heard of this Dry Brushing thing, me not so much. I've seen the long handle, wood, bristle brushes in the stores, but I just thought they were for scrubbing your back when you were taking a bath or shower. Little did I know that there was so much more to the mysterious brush.  Basically dry brushing is suppose to be good for you and helps to exfoliate and detoxify the body.

How does is work? Well the exfoliating part is easy enough, when you dry brush you use a brush with stiff bristles, prior to showering (also dry brushing is suppose to make you feel energized and stimulated, so in the morning is the best time to do it), and with light pressure against the skin you brush your skin with long, upward strokes. This action removes dead skin and improves appearance, plus it will allow moisturizers to be more effective when applied after your shower. According to Shape magazine.

For the Detoxifying part dry brushing aides the body in detoxifying by helping to move lymph fluid into the lymph nodes, so this waste can be eliminated by your body. The body does this naturally, dry brushing just helps to speed up the process.

Dry Brushing's BIG Claim is that it reduces cellulite! What?
The jury is still out on that one, but some research shows that the appearance of cellulite may be reduced for a day or 2, because of the swelling after the dry brushing.  So, basically the dimples in your thighs are less noticeable for a day or two-Hey us chicks will take what we can get, right?

How do you Dry Brush?

First you have to have the right kind of brush. You need a brush with firm bristles and a long handle.
Start at your feet and with long, upward strokes move up each leg. Then do your abdomen, back, and across your chest. Then your arms towards your armpits. Now it is time to shower!

Possible Benefits:
-skin problems such as acne improve
-feel more energized
-improve digestive issues
-skin is softer and radiant
-exfoliates the skin
-aides in detoxifying
